My early love for Graphics and Web Design can be traced to the early heydeys of Neopets and Gaia Online back in 2004. Like many others at the time, I began to grasp the basics of HTML/CSS through both sites respectively (shoutout to Neopets HTML Guide) and created graphics for webforum use and online blogs (like Xanga)
Although I wasn't able to pursue a degree — and ultimately a career — in Graphics Design due to life circumstances, I still continued to design in my free time, whether it be for personal projects or commissions for my friends. Somehow I found myself working in the video games industry as a Talent Professional and although I loved being in the industry and helping people pursue their passions — I myself felt dispassionate about my job.
With layoffs rampant in the industry, I was finally affected in March 2024 and although it was unfortunate, I've decided to take it in stride and see it as an opportunity to finally pursue a career I'm passionate about: UI/UX + Graphics Design.
